With staycations in England set to be back on the cards from July 4th (whoop!) I thought I would share a fabulous holiday property I discovered back in February. Before lockdown, when getting in the car for a much needed weekend away with family and friends was still very much a thing you could do at the drop of a hat.

I was invited to stay at the stunning Aysgarth Nook in the yorkshire dales. A traditional Wensleydale cottage that has been lovingly transformed into a luxurious bolt-hole whilst retaining much of it’s 300 year old personality.

There’s also another room downstairs that can be dressed as a double bedroom, or be used as a separate ‘snug’ room. Making this a five bedroom haven.

As you step out of the sliding doors from the fifth bedroom/snug you meet the icing on the cake! A secluded garden and terrace, equipped with a hot tub to enjoy the breath-taking views across Wensleydale and beyond.

As for the local area, there’s so much to see and do. Aysgarth Nook is situated in the picture postcard Wensleydale village of Aysgarth, cosied up beside the fabulous Hamilton’s Tearooms. It’s also a 2-minute walk away from the local Pub.

The infamous Aysgarth Falls, fondly known as one of the seven natural wonders of the North, and where Kevin Costner once frolicked with Maid Marion on the film set for ‘Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’ is just a short walk away. It’s a must on your list of things to do, so beautiful.

As well as Aysgarth, the Maison Parfaite collection also includes properties in Harrogate, Leeds, York and Whitby. Each one boasts a fancy-pants bathroom, many of which with an incredible bath to pamper yourself in… What’s not to love about that!?
