Christmas makeover with Marks & Spencer

For me, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Marks & Spencer. I mean, is it even December if you haven’t browsed the festive isles of this go-to store picking up treats and decorations ready for the big day!?

I’ve given my living room a makeover with some fabulous *items from M&S. This year I’ve gone with a winter wonderland theme. I wanted to create a cosy vibe, nothing too bright that I might get bored with by the end of the Christmas period.

Firstly, lets discuss my faux tree of dreams, I’m so pleased with it! I chose a 6ft Frosted Noble Tree, It’s a handmade artificial tree and has a snowy effect for a touch of yuletide magic. It comes with a quick assembly metal stand, and took minutes to assemble. I’ve used a set of 300 warm lights for a bit of bling and the tree is topped with a copper star.

The selection of baubles is pretty special at M&S at the moment. I adore my set of three drumming Nutcrackers and the mirrored stars add a real sparkle to the tree. I went for four of the light up alphabet baubles in the initials of our names. The copper bauble is from a set of four and the copper bell stars jingle when they move.

This is our TV room, so I opted for some sumptuous soft furnishings to add some warmth and comfort to the space. I chose some of the items for real longevity, I won’t be packing away this stunning pom pom knitted basket, or the pom pom cushion. The green cushion is super soft and it’s little felt poms remind me of snowballs.

A light up cushion is pretty much the stuff of dreams for me, twinkly lights on a cushion… two of my fave things! The font that’s been used is so on trend too.

I brightened up this little corner with this simple yet chic metal star wreath, adorned with festive leaves, acorns and bells. I chose a snowflake paper garland for the wall and a set of bronze star bauble lights to drape over the picture.

I’m all about stars at the moment, and this set of 2 wooden die-cut light up stars have rustic string for so you can hang them too. This little star bowl is just waiting to be filled with yummy treats, I’ve popped some faux mistletoe in it for now. I’ve also started the mammoth task of the wrapping up, I always try to match my wrap to the tree if I can.

I’m really looking forward to styling my Christmas table with these gold woven round mats. I’ll be using the copper wire lights too.

I’m truly in the Christmas spirit with these fun glasses and I can’t wait to light the winter candle in it’s very own cloche hiding at the back.

I’ve styled up my little lamp table with a stunning crackle glazed copper tree, a cute light up ceramic house and a four scented alphabet candles to spell out NOEL. I’m so pleased with the whole effect, it’s everything I dreamed it would be.

Happy Christmas everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed my living room makeover as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Until next time,

Amy x
