During one of my recent Instagram shopping sprees I stumbled upon a little eclectic gem: Huxley & Hus. Directed to their website I was instantly lured in by an amazing ‘Bar’ neon sign, which led to me the ‘Lounge’ sign above that is now a neon-tastic feature at Little House In London.
Their products are quirky and diverse, from funky artwork, striking handmade cushions to vintage brick boxes. Their easy to navigate online shop features home, kitchen, on the wall, just arrived and sale sections.
Check out these oh so cool neon wool plates, bright and exotic traditional moroccan tea glasses and these very on trend copper wire baskets from the kitchen category.
TOP PICK: Has to be these beautiful paper cuts. Each design is hand made in England. Every piece carries with it a tangible mood and hand-crafted quality that distinguishes it from mass produced art. In Blue and copper and A3 in size these are a definite add to my current wish list.
THEY SAY: “Huxley & Hus was set up by two friends Rebecca and Charlotte (whose sons are best friends!) so that we could share our passion for interiors. We first discovered our mutual love of all things interior during a summer holiday in Denmark a few years ago. During this holiday we spent a few days in Copenhagen staying in a Danish family’s house where virtually all our conversation was about the decor and interior style. You could say this was the start of our journey!
Our aim is bring you an eclectic mix of unique products for the home, many of which have a story to tell. We only sell products that we would buy for our own homes, that we love, and that have lasting appeal. As busy working mums we understand that homes can never be perfect, hence our strapline & ethos… ‘for the lived in home’.
For this reason, we only photograph our products in our homes or those of our friends. We would love to see our products in your homes so please share them with us on instagram @huxleyandhus.”
