This little vintage table had been in my possession for many years but was very much in need of some love.
I decided to paint it to match my dresser that had been lovingly renovated and treated with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey. According to the instructions there was no sanding required. I was onto a winner!
I also purchased some brushes from Annie’s range as my husband’s collection of paint equipment in the shed had seen better days. I would just like to add that I’m a complete ‘up-cycle’ novice… so this really was a big undertaking for me.
First coat went on like a dream, and didn’t take long to dry. Second coat and I was done with the paint, it really was that easy! It’s a water based paint so easy to clean the brushes and any paint splatters.
I left it overnight to dry fully and then applied the wax the next morning, this was lovely to apply and I gave the top two coats for good measure. Here’s the end result, I’m so pleased with it.
